    The Challenge

Internet radio stations usually live on someone else's platform. The listener finds a directory listing, hits play in a generic player and never learns whose station it is. Phoenix Rising Tejano needed a home that belonged to the station, where the brand, the schedule, the DJs and the community all live together and the stream is one part of the experience rather than the whole thing. The audience is bilingual, which is not a translation toggle problem, it is a voice problem. Copy that reads naturally in English and stiffly in Spanish signals that the Spanish speaking listener was an afterthought.

    Problems Identified

    • Station identity lost inside third party directory players
    • Bilingual audience poorly served by translated afterthoughts
    • No visible schedule so listeners could not plan around shows
    • Now playing information locked inside the streaming platform
    • No place for song requests or DJ connection

    What We Built

The stream is embedded directly into the station's own page with a live now playing display and a recently played history, so listeners can identify the song they just heard and jump to it on Apple Music or Amazon Music. Around that we built the things a directory listing cannot carry: a show schedule with named programs and time blocks, an about section explaining where the station comes from, and a request path so listeners can connect with the DJs. The bilingual approach is genuine parallel writing rather than translation. The tagline runs in both languages, from Phoenix to the world and de Phoenix al mundo, and the about section is written twice, both versions carrying the same fire imagery from the phoenix on the crest. Four capability blocks cover round the clock streaming, bilingual service, live DJs and multi device listening.
