Analytics & Conversion Tracking

Know which marketing actually made the phone ring.

Most contractors are guessing. They pay for SEO, they pay for ads, the phone rings, and nobody can say which one caused it. We fix the measurement so you stop guessing.

You are spending money you cannot account for.

Here is the situation in most contractor businesses we look at. There is a marketing budget. Some of it goes to search, some goes to ads, some goes to whoever called last month with a pitch. Work comes in. Nobody can connect the two.

That is not a small gap. If you cannot measure it, you cannot cut what is wasting money and you cannot put more behind what is working. You are making budget decisions on a hunch, and the hunch is usually built on whichever channel you happened to hear about most recently.

Agencies are comfortable with this. Traffic is easy to make look good. Impressions go up, sessions go up, the chart points the right direction, everyone nods. But traffic is not leads. A page can pull a thousand visitors a month and book nobody. Reporting on traffic is how an agency stays employed without ever having to prove it earned the retainer.

We build sites that are supposed to make the phone ring. That claim is worth nothing if you cannot check it. So we would rather hand you the tools to check it.

    What we set up.

One setup, done once, done properly. After that the data keeps coming in on its own.

    Call tracking with source attribution

This is the core of the whole thing. Most of your work comes in over the phone, so if calls are not tracked, most of your marketing is invisible. We put tracking numbers in place that swap based on where the visitor came from, so a call from organic search looks different from a call from Google Ads, a Google Business Profile listing, or a direct visit. The caller dials one number, reaches your normal line, and you get a record of what actually caused the phone to ring.

    GA4 configured properly

Not the default snippet pasted in the header and forgotten. We set up the property, filter out internal traffic and bots, define what counts as a lead, and make sure the data lines up with reality instead of counting every bounce as engagement.

    Conversion events that mean something

Calls, form submissions, and quote requests get tracked as real conversion events. Not scroll depth. Not time on page. The actions a customer takes when they want to hire you.

    Search Console connected and verified

So you can see the queries people actually type before they land on your site, which pages Google has indexed, and which pages it has quietly skipped.

    Google Ads conversion import

Your ads account gets fed real lead data instead of clicks. That matters because Google optimizes toward whatever you tell it to value. Feed it clicks and it buys clicks. Feed it leads and it goes looking for more leads.

This is what makes our SEO work and Google Ads management provable instead of theoretical.

    What you get every month.

One page. Written so a busy contractor can read it in the truck before a job. Where the leads came from, how many there were, and what they cost. That is the whole report.

    • Where your leads came from, by channel
    • How many leads each channel produced
    • What each lead cost you
    • Calls and forms broken out separately
    • What changed from last month, in plain language

No forty page dashboard nobody opens. If a number does not help you decide something, it does not go in the report. Want to see how we talk about outcomes elsewhere? Look at our results page.

    Who this is for.

Businesses already spending real money on marketing who cannot prove what it returns. If you have a monthly invoice from someone and no honest answer to the question "what did that buy me," this is the fix.

It is also worth doing before you start spending. Turn on measurement first and you get a baseline, so when the ads start running you can tell what changed. Start spending first and you spend the first several months arguing about numbers nobody trusts.

It pairs naturally with a website care plan, since the site and the tracking both need someone keeping an eye on them.

It also pairs with Google Business Profile management. The map is a lead source like any other, so calls that start on your profile should be counted separately instead of getting lumped in with everything else.

    What this will not do.

    • It will not create leads on its own
    • It will not make a bad offer work
    • It will not make a slow month look better than it was
    • It will not guarantee any ranking or lead volume

Tracking is a mirror, not an engine. It tells you the truth about the leads you already get. Sometimes that truth is unwelcome. Plenty of owners find out that a channel they have been paying for all year produced almost nothing, and that is not a fun meeting.

We will still have it. If the data says a channel is not working, we say so, even when we are the ones running that channel. That has cost us line items before. We would rather keep the client than keep the invoice.

    What it costs.

    From $995 setup

    then $225/mo

Setup covers the full build: GA4, conversion events, call tracking numbers and routing, Search Console, and the Google Ads conversion import. The monthly covers keeping it working and the one page report.

Call tracking numbers carry a small pass through cost from the provider. We bill it at what it costs us and show you the line. No markup hiding in there.

    Common questions.

Do I need this if I already have Google Analytics installed?

Usually yes. Installed and configured are two different things. Most accounts we look at have no conversion events, no call data, and no way to separate one traffic source from another.

Will call tracking numbers hurt my local SEO?

Not when it is set up correctly. Your real business number stays as the primary number on your site and your Google Business Profile. Tracking numbers are swapped in for visitors, not for search engines.

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. Calls forward to the line you already answer. Nothing about how you take calls changes.

Can you set this up if my site was built by someone else?

Yes. We do not need to have built the site. We do need access to it, plus your ad and analytics accounts.

What if the data shows one of your services is not working?

Then we tell you and we fix it or stop it. We would rather lose a line item than have you paying for something that does nothing.

    Stop guessing. Start counting.

Tell us what you are spending and what you are running. We will tell you what is trackable today and what is missing. No jargon, no pitch deck.
