Vermont Renovation and Remodeling
A Houzz featured Vermont remodeler needed entry points for homeowners who are not ready for a full renovation.

The Challenge
Bill Wockenfuss has been renovating Vermont homes since 2018, with a Grand Isle lakehouse kitchen selected as Houzz Kitchen of the Week and more than fifty five star reviews behind him. The gap was timing. Most people visiting a remodeling site are months or years from committing to a kitchen, and a site with only one action, request a consultation, wastes every one of them. Vermont also brings specific problems: two hundred year old homes, brutal winters and building science that matters, and none of that was showing up as expertise.
Problems Identified
- One high commitment action for visitors who are years out
- Nine service lines from kitchens to windows and doors
- Cost uncertainty stopping people before they inquire
- Small jobs and punch lists with nowhere to go
- Vermont specific building science expertise going unsaid

What We Built
We gave the site three levels of commitment. A free cost guide captures researchers who are nowhere near ready to sign. A One Day Service page sells a carpenter for a day at a published hourly rate for punch lists, aging in place upgrades and seasonal maintenance, which converts small jobs that used to get turned away and builds relationships that become full renovations. Full service pages cover kitchens, bathrooms, additions, attics, basements, windows and doors and whole home work. Bill's own story anchors the about section, including the two hundred year old farmhouse he restores himself, and the Houzz feature is linked directly to the published article rather than claimed.

The site now converts at three different stages instead of one. Researchers take the cost guide, homeowners with a punch list book a day of carpentry, and the people ready for a kitchen see a Houzz featured builder who explains building science before anyone asks.
Most of your visitors are not ready to hire yet.
We build sites with entry points for every stage, not just the one that ends in a contract.
