The Challenge
Independent auto shops compete against dealership service departments with marketing budgets and national chains with coupon mailers. Gov-Motors had three genuinely strong differentiators, free first hour diagnostics, veteran and government discounts, and repair financing, and none of them were doing any work online. Drivers also search by symptom and by service, brakes, check engine light, AC not blowing cold, alignment, and there was nothing specific for those searches to land on.

Veteran, military, federal, state and DOD contractor discounts sit next to it, which matters in Anne Arundel County. Repair financing gets stated plainly for anyone staring down a bill they were not planning for. Services are broken out with real detail: oil changes across conventional, blend and full synthetic, brake pads and rotors and calipers, engine diagnostics, tires and rotation and balancing, AC recharge and compressor work, steering and suspension, four wheel alignment, transmission service and detailing. ASE certification and a 4.7 star rating sit in the hero, and a booking flow replaces the phone tag.
